Privacy Policy
Sniplyst (the “App”) is made by Yan Soisson, an independent solo developer based in Luxembourg (“the Developer”, “I”, “me”). This policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: Sniplyst collects nothing about you, and I have no access to your data.
01 No data collection
Sniplyst does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The App has no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no user accounts, and no backend server run by the Developer. I never see your flashcards, your study activity, or anything about how you use the App.
02 Your content stays on your devices
Everything you create — courses, folders, flashcards, and review history — is stored locally on your device. The App works fully offline.
03 iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud and have it enabled, your content syncs across your own Apple devices through your private iCloud account (Apple’s iCloud / CloudKit). This data lives in your personal iCloud storage and is managed by Apple. The Developer has no access to it, and it is never sent to any Sniplyst server (there isn’t one).
Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn off iCloud sync for Sniplyst at any time in your device settings.
04 No third-party services
Sniplyst makes no network calls other than Apple’s iCloud sync. It bundles no third-party SDKs that collect data. Markdown and math rendering happen entirely on-device.
05 Children’s privacy
Because Sniplyst collects no personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.
06 Your rights (GDPR)
As the App processes no personal data on the Developer’s side, there is no personal data held by me to access, correct, export, or delete. The content you create belongs to you: you can edit or delete it directly in the App, export it to CSV at any time, and remove it entirely by deleting the App and its iCloud data. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you keep all your rights regarding any data held in your own iCloud account; that data is handled by Apple as described in their privacy policy.
07 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
